Did you know that you could tap a walnut tree, just like a maple tree?  It's not cold enough in California, but we found some farmers in the Northeast who are doing just that.  The taste is similar to maple syrup, but a little lighter. 

Chandler walnuts, a varietal of the English walnut, are high in omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids and very low in cholesterol. For maximum freshness, store walnuts refrigerated for up to one year or frozen for up to two years.

Old Dog Ranch is a fifth-generation family farm on the Calaveras River in Northern California. Our family has lived and farmed at Old Dog Ranch since 1912. We use sustainable farming practices following organic standards and are certified organic by CCOF. Our products are handmade in small batches by real people who love real food.
